PRINTING CHARGES

Mono / Black and White (A4): RM0.10 per side / per copy

Mono / Black and White (A3): RM0.20 per side / per copy

Colour (A4): RM0.90 per side / per copy

Colour (A3): RM1.80 per side / per copy

TOP UP / RELOAD

Print credits top-up are available in the amount of RM5, RM10, RM20, RM30.

Transaction fees are waived for all top-up payment modes available (e.g. FPX, TnG,

Grab). The top-up amount e.g. RM30 will be reflected in your International Medical University

Malaysia ("IMU”) student identification card/printing account ("Student ID”) as print credit

(“Print Credit”). This service is managed by Canon’s print management software system,

namely uniFLOW.

Please note that credit cards issued by banks from US, Canada, Australia, Costa Rica, Brazil

and Argentina are not accepted due to high fraud rates.

Canon operates, manages, and owns the equipment (“Designated Equipment”) located at

IMU’s Bukit Jalil Campus (i.e. main campus) and IMU’s Clinical Campus (i.e. IMU Clinical

Campus Seremban, Batu Pahat & Kluang). These Designated Equipment provide printing,

photocopying and/or scanning services to all IMU’s students (“Printing Services”).

Print Credit can be used for Printing Services only. It is not exchangeable and cannot be used

for any other items or services.

Your Print Credit is not transferable to other printing account.

REFUND

You may request for a refund by submitting the Refund Request Form (the Refund Request

Form can be obtained in the Canon Portal) to CMM-

ServiceDelivery@cmm.canon.com.my. You are required to fill up the Refund Request

Form for verification purpose and such refund is subject to our approval. There will be no

administrative fees incurred.

Refund is only available upon course completion, cancellation, or termination. If you fail to

request for a refund of your remaining Print Credit balance within 90 days upon your course

completion, cancellation or termination, such remaining Print Credit balance of yours shall

automatically be forfeited and cannot be refunded to you.

You will not be able to use your printing account when your refund is being processed.

If approved, you will receive your refund within 60 working days.

Print credit refund is not applicable for the following scenarios.

i. Incorrect print out colour option (Mono or Colour)

ii. Incorrect page print option (Single sided or Double sided)

iii. Incorrect page range or page number to be printed

iv. Additional number of print copies

v. Incorrect layout (Portrait or Landscape)

vi. Incorrect paper source

vii. Duplicate printout

viii. Printout missing or forgot to collect after release

For the avoidance of doubt, the examples listed above are not intended to be exhaustive.

If an incorrect amount of Print Credit has been credited into your Student ID/printing account

after a top up, please notify us immediately at 1800-18-2001 or email Canon PrintCare

(priority@cmm.canon.com.my) within thirty (30) days. For the avoidance of doubt, such claim

shall be voided and invalid after the thirty (30) days period as stated herein.

limitation or qualification, these terms of use set forth below and any additional terms of use set forth in

any related website. These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement (“Agreement”)

between you and Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd ("Canon / us / we"), we reserve the right to

modify or update this Terms of Use at any time and changes will become immediately effective upon

posting. By accessing or using the services provided by Canon, you agree to be bound by this

Agreement and to the collection and use of your personal information as set forth in this Agreement and

https://my.canon/en/consumer/web/privacy. Your continued use of the Canon Portal and our services

will bind you to such changes and you should regularly visit this page to review the latest Terms of Use.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please do not continue to use the Canon Portal and the

services provided by Canon.

The Canon Portal and other related websites accessible through this portal is published and maintained

by affiliates and/or related entities of Canon. When accessing any related website through the Canon

Portal, please note that the related website may have its own terms of use that are specific to that

website.

1. Eligibility

You may only use the Printing Services supplied by Canon if you agree and comply to the terms

and conditions under this Agreement and all applicable and relevant laws, rules and regulations,

including but not limited to, Copyright Act 1987.

2. Account

You are solely responsible for your Printing Services account, hence do ensure that you log off

from your account after you have completed your use of the Printing Services, including top up.

Canon shall not be liable for any unauthorized use of your said account.

3. Protection of Personal Data

You agree that any personally identifiable information provided to Canon in connection with this

Terms may be dealt with by Canon in accordance with this Agreement and the terms specified

in Canon’s Privacy Policy available at https://my.canon/en/consumer/web/privacy. You are

advised to check the web page and be updated on the Canon Privacy Policy periodically.

The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, if you do not provide Canon your

personal data, Canon will not be able to process your personal data for the purposes outlined

under this Agreement and the Canon’s Privacy Policy and may cause Canon to be unable to

allow you to use the Printing Services and the Canon Portal.

Canon may collect, use, disclose and process your personal data for business and activities of

Canon which shall include, without limitation to the following:

a. to perform Canon’s obligations in respect of this Agreement;

b. to provide the services pursuant to this Agreement;

c. to validate and/or process the payments pursuant to this Agreement, including to process

and/or verify reload and refund of money by you for the Printing Services;

d. to investigate on the transaction in respect of the payment for the Printing Services under

this Agreement by any third party;

e. for internal administrative purposes, such as auditing, database records;

f. for purposes of detection, prevention and investigation in respect of the reload and refund of

money for the Printing Services, whether by Canon itself or any third party;

g. for Canon to comply with its obligations under law or regulations;

4. Representations and Warranties

By using the Canon Portal and the Printing Services, you represent, warrant and undertake that:

a. You have legal capacity to enter into this Agreement and that you are at least eighteen (18)

years old.

b. You will provide true, accurate, not misleading, current and complete information as required

for the use of the Printing Service and the Canon Portal, and undertake the responsibility to

maintain and update your information in a timely manner to keep it true, accurate, not

misleading, current and complete at all times during the term of the Agreement. You agree

that Canon may rely on your information as true, accurate, not misleading, current and

complete. You acknowledge that if your information is untrue, inaccurate, misleading, not

current or incomplete in any respect, Canon has the right but not the obligation to terminate

this Agreement and your use of the Printing Service and Canon Portal at any time with or

without notice;

c. You will keep your account password or any identification which allows your access to the

Printing Service and Canon Portal secure and confidential;

d. You agree that the Printing Service and Canon Portal are provided on a reasonable effort

basis; and

e. You agree to assume full responsibility and liability for all loss or damage suffered by yourself,

Canon or any other party as a result of your breach of this Agreement.

5. Disclaimer

YOUR USE OF THIS CANON PORTAL IS AT YOUR RISK. THIS CANON PORTAL

(INCLUDING ALL CONTENT AND FUNCTIONS MADE AVAILABLE ON OR ACCESSED

THROUGH THIS CANON PORTAL) IS PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT

PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, WITH REGARD TO THE CONTENT ON THIS CANON PORTAL,

CANON MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER

(1) FOR THE ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE

OR NON-INFRINGEMENT OF ANY CONTENT PUBLISHED ON OR AVAILABLE THROUGH

THE CANON PORTAL, (2) THAT THE SERVER THAT MAKES THIS SITE AVAILABLE IS FREE

OF VIRUSES OR OTHER COMPONENTS THAT MAY INFECT, HARM OR CAUSE DAMAGE

TO YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR ANY OTHER PROPERTY WHEN YOU ACCESS,

BROWSE, DOWNLOAD FROM OR OTHERWISE USE THE CANON PORTAL.

CANON ALSO ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY AND WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY

DAMAGE TO OR VIRUSES THAT MAY INFECT YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR OTHER

PROPERTY, OR FOR ANY LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA ON ACCOUNT OF YOUR

ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR BROWSING IN THE PORTAL, OR YOUR DOWNLOADING OF ANY

MATERIALS, DATA, TEXT, IMAGES, VIDEO, OR AUDIO FROM THE CANON PORTAL. IN NO

EVENT SHALL CANON'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES AND

CAUSES OF ACTION (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE) EXCEED THE

AMOUNT PAID BY YOU, IF ANY, FOR ACCESSING THE CANON PORTAL AND/OR USING

ANY CANON SERVICES, INCLUDING THE PRINTING SERVICES.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CANON'S NEGLIGENCE,

WILL CANON, OR ANY OTHER PARTY INVOLVED IN CREATING, HOSTING OR

DELIVERING THE WEBSITE, BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL,

CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR OTHER DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING

OUT OF (A) YOUR ACCESS TO, OR USE OF, THE CANON PORTAL, WHETHER OR NOT

SUCH ACCESS OR USE WAS AUTHORISED OR WHETHER IT WAS DUE TO ANY ACT OR

OMISSION ON YOUR PART (B) ANY WEBSITE ISSUES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO

ANY DEFECT, ERROR, FAULT, INACCURACY, IMPERFECTION OF THE CANON PORTAL

ASSOCIATED PRODUCTS OR SERVICES EVEN IF CANON HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE

POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT

ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS, SO SOME OF THE

ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR ANY

RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS REGARDING THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED

WARRANTIES.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, SHALL CANON BE LIABLE IN DAMAGES FOR ANY DELAY

OR DEFAULT IN THE OPERATION OF THE CANON PORTAL OR PRINTING SERVICES

WHERE SUCH DELAY OR DEFAULT IS CAUSED BY CONDITIONS BEYOND ITS CONTROL,

INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ACTS OF GOD, TELECOMMUNICATIONS, STRIKES,

ACTS OF TERRIORISM AND/OR ANY OTHER CONDITIONS BEYOND THE REASONABLE

CONTROL OF CANON.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL CANON BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY

UNAUTHORISED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION, THEFT, LOSS OR DESTRUCTION OF OR

DAMAGE TO YOUR STUDENT ID THAT CAUSED YOU TO NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE

PRINTING SERVICES.

PORTAL INFORMATION REGARDING CANON PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, INCLUDING

THEIR AVAILABILITY, APPEARANCE, PRICE AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO

CHANGE ANYTIME WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. SUCH INFORMATION WILL NOT

CONSTITUTE A REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY OR OTHER COMMITMENT BY CANON

WITH RESPECT TO ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT

PERMITTED BY LAW, CANON HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR

IMPLIED, AS TO THE ACCURACY SUITABILITY FOR ANY PURPOSE OR COMPLETENESS

THEREOF.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Canon and all of its agents, directors and employees,

(collectively "Indemnified Parties") harmless from and against any and all liability and costs

(including, legal fees on a full indemnity basis), incurred by the Indemnified Parties in connection

with any claim arising out of any breach by you of this Agreement of the foregoing

representations, warranties and covenants. You will cooperate as fully as reasonably required

on Canon's defense of any such claim. Canon reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume

the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you and

you will not in any event settle any matter without the written consent of Canon.

You understand that the ownership of the Equipment shall at all times remain with Canon. You

hereby agree to indemnify Canon against any loss, damage, claim, liability and expense

(including legal fees on a full indemnity basis) arising directly in connection with your use of the

Equipment (unless it is solely and directly caused by Canon negligence or wilful misconduct).

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate this Agreement at any time by giving you reasonable prior notice.

We need not, however, give you notice where we have serious grounds for considering that

immediate termination is required (e.g., if we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised use

of the Student Printing Services and Canon Portal). If we suspend or terminate this Agreement

in circumstances where it is determined you are not in breach of this Agreement, we will refund

you the Printing Services Value.

8. General provisions

This Agreement set forth the entire understanding and agreement between you and Canon with

respect to the Canon Portal and the Printing Services. If any provision of this Agreement shall be

unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed severable from

this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of other remaining provisions.

This Agreement as modified from time to time may not be assigned by you without the prior

written approval of Canon but may be assigned without your consent by Canon. Any purported

assignment by you in violation of this section shall be void.

9. Force Majeure

Non-performance of either party of any obligations hereunder shall be excused to the extent and

during the period that performance is rendered impossible by strike, fire, flood, earthquakes,

disruption of connectivity, pandemic, endemic, governmental acts or orders or restrictions, failure

of suppliers, or contractors, or any other reason where failure to perform is beyond the reasonable

control and not caused by the negligence of the non-performing party.

10. Applicable Tax

You shall pay all applicable tax (if any) levied by governmental or statutory authorities in

connection with this Agreement.

11. Governing Law

The Terms are governed and interpreted under the laws of Malaysia. You agree that any claim

or dispute against Canon arising out of or relating to the use of the Terms must be resolved by

the courts of Malaysia unless otherwise agreed upon by all parties.
